Annoying when not having correct data

I find it so annoying when you have data that isn't showing correct consistently, to find out where there is something wrong. 

 

We have the Work in progress balance in power bi. Difficult one as it needs split in debet balance and credit balance. It also includes a table for the monthly result bookings on those projects. Which is booked per end of month, and i only need to show the last booked results as part of my current WIP. Had lot of issues to come up with the correct measures to make it work. And then it finally works for couple months, and all of sudden some project isn't showing anymore. 

 

Last result booking was made per 30-12-2024. I see those results in my updated table. 

 

But my work in progress dashboard per 30-12-2024 doesn't show all of them. Only 2 of the projects with results booked. And when i select WIP till 30-11-2024, it does show the others, except 1 project that doesn't show at all on any date selection. But this project has same settings, same booking date, same everything as the projects that ARE showing. And its also updated in my underlying table, where i can see it and i see it has the correct data. 

 

I triple checked all filters everywhere. there are no weird things showing. I'm lost and getting really annoyed here that it takes SO much time to try to solve such a simple looking thing. And you have to check every column, every field of every table and measure to find something that could cause it. 

 

Besides this, there is a difference in dahsboard between my desktop version and the published version. But my web version gets refreshed 4 times a day with the correct data. Most data there seems correct, but again not all projects that should show are visible. 

 

In my desktop version, there are projects visible that shouldn't be there.

 

Ready to throw the laptop out of the window at this point ... havent changed anything in measures or data last months but then all of sudden its not working anymore. 

 

I control all the projects, and i know nothing changed in their settings.

    I understand how frustrating it can be when data inconsistencies arise, especially after you've put in so much effort to get everything working correctly. Here're some potential solutions you can try to fix the problem.

    1.Double-check all filters and slicers applied to the dashboard.
    2.Ensure that the data refresh settings are correctly configured and that the data source is being updated as expected.
    3.Review the DAX measures used for calculating the WIP balances and monthly results.
    4.Ensure that all relationships between tables are correctly defined and active.

    5.If there is a difference between the desktop version and the published version, you can download the report of the published version and compare them one by one in local.
