Hey,
When I pull an Analyze in excel query, the grand total for the measure (which is not iterative), will sometimes show the full value (excl. current filters in the pivot), depending on where the filters are.
If the filters are in the filter section, the grand total matches the pivot
If the filters are in the column/row section, the grand total excludes those filters, showing the total
I understand why its doing this, but i'm not so sure it should be doing it as it's not very intuitive for the end user. Is this by design, or am I missing something to get this working properly?
@Anonymous , You need to share calculations for that.
There are come cases where it does not match, some changes is needed in measure - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ufHOOLdi_jk
Thanks - I'm aware of the problems that can be caused within the Power BI reports themself. But if the filter shows correctly if being filtered in one area, but not if filtered in another area, wouldnt this not be a problem with the measure?
Hi, @Anonymous
It’s my pleasure to answer for you.
According to your description, I think the problem is not that you used analyze in excel, but your measure.
Can you share some sample data, measure and your desired result? So we can help you soon.
Best Regards
Janey Guo
