I was annoyed with a query with an error to be able to view a report from the web consulting a sharepoint, I was investigating a little but I can't determine where the problem itself could come from. On the other hand, the message is clear in principle because it indicates that the connection to the Analysis Services server cannot be established and that it should check the connection string.
If it is not much hassle, could you tell me more or less what steps to follow to carry out the corresponding checks? Thank you very much for all the collaboration and I remain at the disposal !!
The screenshot is too small and blurry. Please post a readable version.
Please provide a more detailed explanation of what you are aiming to achieve. What have you tried and where are you stuck?
At the time it was verified that the credentials are correct, it also has the necessary permissions to be able to access the report, on the other hand I understand that in principle I could see the report via web regardless of the version of Power BI that I have, on the other hand in relation to the server I do not have access to check the chain of connections, but I understand it must come from that side as the error message explains.
I would just like to be more precise about where to start checking for the error itself. I am very grateful for the help!!
Please clarify if this is for Power BI Service or Power BI Report Server. Please also clarify what type of connections are used in the semantic model.
It's Power Bi Report Server and we log in through an internal server using a specific URL. So I understand that it's Live Connection through Azure Analysis Services.
Thank you lbendlin
Hi, @Syndicate_Admin
You need to follow the steps below to configure your credentials:
For Azure Analysis Services data source, you must have multifactor authentication (MFA) disabled for the credentials being used to connect to the data source.
