Hi @Anonymous,

Based on my test using the latest version of desktop: 2.62.5222.761 64-bit (September 2018). It worked well. What is your version of Power BI desktop?

Hi Vfrfei,

Sure! could you please send me a email adress? I prefered not to post it here.

The visual iam using is a table.

Thanks.

Hi @Anonymous,

Based on my research, that should be the issue of the  SelectedValue function.  As If I delete all the measures that use SelectedValue in the table visual, then it worked well. You can refer to the support page, once updated, I will let your know asap. Also you can keep an eye on that. Now you can use the previous version to open the pbix to work around.

Hello Frank,

I tried again, but the problem persist. I tried deleting and downloading again the last version of Power BI, but nothing. Same error appears.

Please let me know if there is another solution for this issue.

Thanks,

Nico

I am experiencing the same issue. I am also using SelectedValue function. This seems to be something that was broken in the latest update of Power BI desktop.

There is one strange thing happening for me.

My setup is that I have one "dataset" pbix file, which is in turn is used for around 10 different report pbix-files.

The dataset pbix-file defines the data model and perhaps around 100-150 different measures. It connects to one excelfile (which is stored on OneDrive for a different microsoft accout than the one used for PowerBI) and a Azure SQL database (SQL-credentials).

The strange things is that I get this error only in the "dataset"-pbix file, not in the reports that are depending on the dataset-pbix file. It shows up in the Matrix and Table visual for me. I have the exact same measures and settings in both files but it is only in the "dataset" pbix file that things break.

This problem seems isolated to Power BI Desktop, I don't experience this problem in Power BI Service.

I tested this on then newest release (I believe it was released today), version 2.62.5222.761 and the problem has disappeared.

Thus I would presume the problem is now fixed.

Hi All,

We are still getting the same issue for this new released version 2.62.5222.761 64-bit (September 2018). We are using DAX SelectedValue function and Matrix as a visual. Seems that it is still not fixed yet. anyone can help and give some insights please?

Thank you so much in advance!
