An unexpected error occurred - Paginated Report Visual

I have a paginated report published to a PPU workspace. When I try to connect to it with a PBI desktop to report I am receiving the following error

Does anyone have any recommendations? I seem to be able to publish the desktop file and the paginated report file without any issues to the same workspace. I just can't connect to the paginated report file via the visual feature in desktop.

@Rewind , is you source accessible at power bi service, or does it require on-premise gateways?
