While attempting to load data from an Excel file into Power BI Desktop, I encountered the following error:
An error occurred while loading to the model.
A warning message appears stating that Table1 could not be loaded.
The following message is shown at the top:
“There are pending changes in your queries that haven’t been applied.”
No data is visible in the Fields pane.

Hi @YamunaRaman ,
Thanks for reaching out to Microsoft Fabric Community,
Just checking in to see if you have resolved your issue by following the steps provided by @Deku . If still unclear please consider the following:
The error you're encountering typically occurs when there are pending changes in Power Query that have not been applied yet. To resolve this, please follow these steps:
In Power BI Desktop, go to the Home tab.
Click on Transform Data to open Power Query Editor.
Once in Power Query, review any changes you've made. If there are pending changes, Power BI will prompt you to apply them.
Click Close & Apply to commit the changes and reload the data into the model.
This should resolve the issue and allow the data to load correctly. If the issue persists, I recommend checking the Excel file for any corruption or inconsistencies in the data structure.
If you need further assistance, feel free to reach out again.
