Alternative option to Desktop

HI,

Any services that can by pass the power bi desktop and the data operation jobs run on cloud capacity ?

Please let me have your comments.

For the use of Dataflow you need to have at least the Pro License that is.

Check the detials about what is available and the level of license you need for each option:

Hi sanchar123 ,

You can use Dataflows to have this:

https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/power-bi/transform-model/dataflows/dataflows-introduction-self-service

Be aware that the only question that you have regarding the datasources is that you cannot use local files to do the transformations and for databases you need a gateway.

But is the query editor and you can even copy your queries from the Desktop to dataflows directly,without the need of changes.
