Currently at my company we are a couple of Pro users. I have linked to a folder which contains datasets that we are going to use for reports. The path contains my username as I am the one logged on at the given time. I can refresh the dataset without any problems but how can I give permission to others/everybody in the company to refresh the dataset themselves?
I tried "Settings for datasource" and then "Edit Permissions" but it didn't seem to work.
Hi @Anonymous ,
Do those users connect to data source with the same credential as yours? If so, they would be able to refresh the dataset in desktop.
Regards,
Yuliana Gu
Not quite sure what you mean by credentials. All of the pro users have the same access capabilities in the company generally speaking. When they try to refresh the dataset connected to the power bi file I created a window pops up with permission details.
