Advanced Card Visual Disappeared in Power BI Report

Hello Power BI Community,

I am facing a technical issue with the Advanced Card visual in my Power BI report, and I need your support in identifying the cause and finding a solution.

Issue Description:

  • I initially developed the report, and all Advanced Card visuals were displaying correctly.
  • However, after approximately two days, one of the Advanced Card visual became invisible in the published report.
  • When I opened the Power BI Desktop app to check, the same visual was also invisible.
  • The Build Visual pane still recognizes it as an Advanced Card, but in the Format Visual pane, there are no available options that should normally be present for this type of visual.
  • I have not made any modifications to this visual (such as background color, transparency, or visibility settings). It was initially displayed just like the other four Advanced Card visuals in the attached screenshot.

Technical Details:

  • Power BI Version: 2.139.2054.0 (64-bit) – January 2025
  • Laptop Model: HP EliteBook 830 G5
  • Operating System: Windows 11 Pro
  • RAM: 16.0 GB

I am confused about why this issue occurred and unable to find a solution. Has anyone encountered a similar problem or knows a possible fix? Any guidance would be greatly appreciated!Picture1.png

I came across a similar issue before, and it turned out to be related to visual interactions. You can try the following steps.

1️⃣ Go to FormatEdit Interactions

2️⃣ Check how other visuals are interacting with the Advanced Card visual

3️⃣ Adjust the interaction settings accordingly to ensure the visual is properly displayed

This helped me resolve a similar issue—hope it works for you too!

Hi @Wickylive

You can try troubleshooting from these aspects:

1. Click More options (the three dot in upper right corner) and select Export data or Show as a table option. This is to check whether the advanced card visual has available data.

2. Try switching the advanced card visual to other types of visual to check whether the data can be displayed in other visuals normally

3. Try creating a new advanced card visual with the same fields. Remove the old visual and place the new visual.

Hope this would be helpful.

Best Regards,
Jing

Thank you for the suggestions! Unfortunately, they didn’t resolve the issue in my case, but I appreciate the help. I was able to fix the issue by editing the interaction settings. I’ll keep your suggestions in mind as troubleshooting options if I encounter a similar problem in the future. Thanks again for your support!

Hello @Wickylive ,

Can you try below steps:

1-

Go to View → Performance Analyzer → Start Recording and check if Power BI is still recognizing the visual.
If the Advanced Card is corrupted, try deleting it and adding a new Advanced Card visual.

2-

Create a test measure:
Test Measure = "Visible"
and assign it to the Advanced Card. If the visual appears, the issue is with your original measure.

3-

-Close Power BI.
-Navigate to C:\Users\YourUsername\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Power BI Desktop\Cache.
-Delete the cache files and restart Power BI.

Thank you for the suggestions! I tried the recommended steps, but unfortunately, none of them resolved the issue. However, I was able to fix the issue by editing the interactions. once again, appreciate your supprt!😊.
