Hi,
I have an issue with Power BI Desktop connector to Adobe Analytics. I can sign in with my Adobe ID, but when I push "Connect", I get "Access to the resource is forbidden."
Few remarks:
- I have full access to API and web services on my Adobe ID.
- Connecting Adobe to Power BI Web Service works fine with my Adobe ID (but, of course, you can't work with your data in Web Service the same way as in Desktop).
- I tried reseting my password and connect to other Adobe accounts, but with the same result.
Thanks for any reply,
Štěpán
@stepanpudlak,
Are you able to connect to the Adobe Analytics PBIT file in Power BI Desktop?
Regards,
Lydia
Hi Lydia,
unfortunately, I'm not able to connect to the reporting suite, although I'm logged in (in the Desktop) to the account where I have connection to AA report in Web Service.
But thank you anyways,
Štěpán
Hi Štěpán
I had the same issue while trying to use the Adobe Analytics connector in Power BI Desktop.
After several frustrating hours, I found the root issue. It's due to AA permissions.
You need to get an AA admin to add your email/ID to AA, on their Admin Console.
Once added, you will receive a strange email "you now have access to Adobe Analytics" even though you had access all along.
Basically boils down to AA user permissions.
Hope this helps, and you can get the connector to work!
Deki.
Hi,
I've tried to get a permission to AA on a differect email/AdobeID and this time it works.
However, no data show in the Navigator tab (even after multiple refreshes):
AA_navigator_no_data
That is very strange.
You should be able to see various AA dimensions like dates & measures.
Some things I would do:
Verify the ReportSuite you are accessing. Maybe the data is residing in a particular one, if you have several.
You can also speak with your AA rep. Most of them are aware of the connector and might be able to offer a good solution.
This type of issue is almost always caused because of AA, and not Power BI.
Good luck.
Hi Deki,
yes, we've tried that (I received such email), but it still returns that access is forbidden.
But thanks anyway, I'll keep trying.
Best
Stepan
