I think that there is a bug with Adobe Analytics 2.0 Beta connector's year dimension.
When you are on the Navigator screen and add Date Granularity to your data the connector gives you the following error message
Unexpected error: String was not recognized as a valid DateTime.
Details:
Microsoft.Mashup.Evaluator.Interface.ErrorException: String was not recognized as a valid DateTime. ---> Microsoft.Mashup.Evaluator.Interface.ErrorException: String was not recognized as a valid DateTime. ---> M
...
at Microsoft.Mashup.Engine1.Library.AdobeAnalytics.V2.AdobeAnalyticsDateGranularityHierarchyV2.<>c.<.cctor>b__9_0(String s)
...
But when you uncheck the box for the Lever 1: Year -dimension the data loads without a problem.
I also know that one my colleagues has found the same problem. Maybe we are not the only ones with this problem?
Using the 1.0 version is not a possible solution because it has a limit of 50 000 rows.
Hi @Tuomas were you able to find a solution? I used the Adobe native connector but I had some issues sometimes. As a workaround, maybe you can try to connect your Adobe data using a 3rd party tool. I've tried windsor.ai , supemetrics (which doesn't has PBI as a destination, so you first have to export to Google Sheets and then export to PBI) and funnel.io. I stayed with windsor because it is much cheaper so just to let you know other options. In case you wonder, to make the connection first search for the Adobe connector in the data sources list:
Then, you should enter your Adobe credentials to make the connection. After that, you'll see a preview of your data where you can select the fields you want to see in PBI.
Finally, you just have to choose PBI as destination and copy and paste the url that will appear there in PBI desktop --> Get Data --Web > --> Paste the link
Hi @caiomarques No updates:( It's weird that they can release a connector which have problem with the year-dimension. And yes, I know that it's still beta-version but maybe someone should test at least this kind of things beforehand.
Hi @Tuomas, my team also encountered the same problem. Have you had any updates?
@Tuomas , You can find any issues reported on the same here - https://community.powerbi.com/t5/Issues/idb-p/Issues
