Adjusting X-axis range for every Other Day, rather than Every Day !

Good afternoon,

I wish to reduce the points on the following graph (snippet shown) because he X-axis is extremely busy & cluttered, and was wondering if its possible to adjust it so that it only shows points for every other day (instead).

Kindly advise.

Hi,

You could change the type to "Continuous"
To do this you go to Visual > X-axis > Type > Continuous instead of Categorical

An other way to do this is to create a measure that for example only shows even numbers:

ShowDate = IF(MOD(DAY([Date]), 2) = 0, FORMAT([Date], "dd-mm"), BLANK())

 Change the number (2) into something else if you need even less. If you use the measure make sure you use the type "Categorical"

Hope it helps!

Hi there H_Reh,

Changing the x-axis to continuous would help declutter the labels on the x-axis, but it wouldn't solve the point/marker problem. To do this, I would recommend creating a new measure that averages the values over 2 days and putting a filter on the visual to reduce the point density (using the method shared by AlexTheGreat).
