Adding shadow to all visual objects by default
Hi,
How do we add the shadow to all visual objects to a json theme file? The options is not available in the theme editor.
Thanks.
Greg_Deckler Thanks,
Yup I can help with this.
I Just documented this feature at https://themes.powerbi.tips/themes/properties
Navigate to a visual.
Open the section labeled Drop Shadow
Set your properties
Download Theme (Found at the bottom of the page)
Load to Desktop and enjoy your new visual style.
Did I answer your question? Mark my post as a solution!

Also, it would be great if we can load a json file in the theme generator, edit it, and download the result.

Hi SBPFA ,
It is not supported to adding shadow to all visual objects by default to a json theme file in Power BI currently . There is an idea about this issue, please vote it up, Add drop shadow formatting to all visuals , and you can add your comments there to improve Power BI and make this feature coming sooner.
As a workaround, you may add image with shadow using image editor to the background, and set the size for the report page. See similar thread: Add shadow to shapes.
