Adding comments by user in Power BI Report

Hi, we're working on a dashboard that provides an overview of a department and its contribution towards the company. In a specific segment, we get the data from SAP HANA and that has data of late shipments of goods. But there are different reasons to it and employees can specify why the shipments have been late. Earlier the client was extracting data in Excel and then was adding the comments/root cause for late shipments. Since data is being retrieved from HANA database and we don't have the rights to make changes in client's database what would be the alternative to automate this in Power BI report ?

I'm a beginner in Power Apps and am not sure how it can be used to collect late reasons and use the same in Power BI report. Request all to share related info if possible on how it can be approached and resolved.

Be aware that Data Write Back is not yet fully implemented in Power BI. Even with the PowerApps visual there is still a break in the user experience as the changes / comments you may record in the visual are not immediately reflected back in the Power BI dataset.

The "comments"  feature has a different purpose, it is more of a discussion forum around the report as a whole, not for individual data rows.

For now go ahead with the PowerApps aproach but watch the space for changes.
