Adding a slicer for a calculated measure

Hi All,

I have a filled map showing areas and market shares. Lots of the areas aren't important as they have very low market shares. I'd like to give the user the option of filtering out the very low market share areas (e.g. less than 1%). But when I tried to drop the market share calculated measure into the slicer it would not allow it. I assume it is not possible to put value fields in slicers? Please can you tell me how to allow users to filter by the values of calculated measures?

Thank you,

CM

I believe that you would have to use the Filters area with measures. To use measures in a slicer, you generally have to use the disconnected table trick. Could potentially work with your situation although it is more typically used with information that is more categorical in nature. In general, to use a measure in that way, you need to use the Disconnected Table Trick as this article demonstrates: https://community.powerbi.com/t5/Community-Blog/Solving-Attendance-with-the-Disconnected-Table-Trick...
