Hi,
I have a IconMap visual with layout drawings embedded in it. It's working and I can select layers of drawings I want to show. The only problem I have is that the Map I'm currently using is outdated. I want to add a layer(drone capture of the current site condition) which will serve as background for my drawings.
Is it possible? or any other alternative way I can achieve my goal?
Thank you!
Go to the Layer Settings of the Icon Map visual.
Under Map Settings, look for Custom Tiles or Image Overlay options.
Upload or link to the drone image file that shows the current site layout.
Adjust the position, opacity, and size to align the background image with your existing drawings.
*If adding the image in Icon Map doesn’t work as expected, you can also overlay visuals in Power BI:
lace your drone capture image as a background image on a page (use Page Background settings under Format).
Then, position the Icon Map visual on top of it and set it to transparent or semi-transparent so both layers (the Icon Map with drawings and the background) are visible together.
💌 If this helped, a Kudos 👍 or Solution mark would be great! 🎉
Cheers,
Kedar

Hi @HersonD - Yes, you can add a new layer to the IconMap visual in Power BI to use your drone capture image as a background for your existing drawings.
go to the settings where you manage layers>>Add a new image layer, setting your drone capture as the background.
Adjust the opacity of the layer if needed so that it complements the visibility of other drawing layers.
the drone capture image aligns correctly with your layout drawings>>You may need to adjust the positioning and scaling of this layer to match your existing layers.
Use coordinates or markers to help align the images for accuracy.
