Add data to existing dataset on every refresh
Hi,
I would like to add data to the existing dataset, so I can track the progress on monthly basis.
Example:
Existing Data Set:
Employee ID | Employee Name | Training Name | State | Lastupdateddate |
1 | A | XXX | REGISTERED | 01-Dec-2020 |
2 | B | YYY | INPROGRESS | 03-Dec-2020 |
3 | C | ZZZ | NOTSTARTED | 03-Dec-2020 |
4 | D | AAA | COMPLETED | 04-Dec-2020 |
5 | E | GGG | INPROGRESS | 05-Dec-2020 |
For the above data set, I would like to add updated data set based on every refresh (irrespective of the lastupdateddate changed or not)
On next refresh, the dataset should look like:
Employee ID | Employee Name | Training Name | State | Lastupdateddate |
1 | A | XXX | REGISTERED | 01-Dec-2020 |
2 | B | YYY | INPROGRESS | 03-Dec-2020 |
3 | C | ZZZ | NOTSTARTED | 03-Dec-2020 |
4 | D | AAA | COMPLETED | 04-Dec-2020 |
5 | E | GGG | INPROGRESS | 05-Dec-2020 |
1 | A | XXX | INPROGRESS | 06-Dec-2020 |
2 | B | YYY | INPROGRESS | 03-Dec-2020 |
3 | C | ZZZ | NOTSTARTED | 03-Dec-2020 |
4 | D | AAA | COMPLETED | 04-Dec-2020 |
5 | E | GGG | COMPLETED | 06-Dec-2020 |
On next refresh, the dataset should look like:
Employee ID | Employee Name | Training Name | State | Lastupdateddate |
1 | A | XXX | REGISTERED | 01-Dec-2020 |
2 | B | YYY | INPROGRESS | 03-Dec-2020 |
3 | C | ZZZ | NOTSTARTED | 03-Dec-2020 |
4 | D | AAA | COMPLETED | 04-Dec-2020 |
5 | E | GGG | INPROGRESS | 05-Dec-2020 |
1 | A | XXX | INPROGRESS | 06-Dec-2020 |
2 | B | YYY | INPROGRESS | 03-Dec-2020 |
3 | C | ZZZ | NOTSTARTED | 03-Dec-2020 |
4 | D | AAA | COMPLETED | 04-Dec-2020 |
5 | E | GGG | COMPLETED | 06-Dec-2020 |
1 | A | XXX | INPROGRESS | 06-Dec-2020 |
2 | B | YYY | COMPLETED | 07-Dec-2020 |
3 | C | ZZZ | INPROGRESS | 07-Dec-2020 |
4 | D | AAA | COMPLETED | 04-Dec-2020 |
5 | E | GGG | COMPLETED | 06-Dec-2020 |
I tried to use Incremental Refresh, however unsuccessful attempt though.
Thanks in advance,
Srikar

I am not sure where your data is stores and connected to Power BI. You can try the Append Queries option in Power Query to get your main table updated with the incoming data.https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/power-query/append-queries
Please provide some details if the above doesn't suit your case.
