    Hi pr1351 ,

I think the reason it doesn't show Add a comment is because you're in Edit and you can click on Reading view.

When you click on More options, you will see Add a comment.

If you want to footnote a specific line, you can click on it and then add a comment and that will get what you want.

    Hi pr1351 ,

If you want to finish adding footnotes to the Matrix table, you have to upload the matrix from Power BI Desktop to the Service to add the footnotes.

Then you can click on Matrix table and find Add a comment in More Options.

This will give you the results you want, and if you want more information, check out this document: Add comments to dashboards and reports - Power BI | Microsoft Learn
