Is there a easy way to create the merged header in either table or matrix in Power BI?
For example, Census: Census 2010 & Census 2020; Gender: Female, Male & Total (as below).

You could make a new column and concatenate "Census " & Table[Year] in your table and use that new column as the top one in your matrix columns.
