Add a calculated filter option
I have a field called product line which brings in 14 different ones. I then use that in a matrix, my scenario is I want a filter that has all of them separated but then I also want an additional one in the product filter and matrix called other. I want other to be A and B and combined but I also want A and B to be chosen separately. I will try to illustrate. So when I have the filter now and matrix it only shows A, B, C, D, I want to add another filter option called "other" which is A+B. Is this possible?

In my opinion, you need to create a filtered table and create a relationship with the original table:
