Why don't you use quick measure to sum these two fields.?
and then include this new measure at the last of your table.
Or else you can use this calculated col:
Column=Calculate(sum(table[beginbal])+sum(table[YTD amt]))
Thank you, tejaswidmello. I learned something new today. Since I didn't know what I was doing, the measure got placed in a totally unrelated table, and I don't seem to be able to drag it to where I want it. Is that possible, or do I need to re-create it?

if there is no relationship between the tables then it will throw an error. Good to have the measure in your own table.
