Active Directory, not able to find objects made in the cloud / portal?

Hi.

This is not my area of expertise, would be super happy if anyone could help. We have a hybrid AD scenario where on-prem AD with Azure AD cloud sync, but also make use of the Azure Portal to invite guest users with B2B collaboration for instance.

I've been trying to find the guest users using Power BI's AD connector, using "domain.local", but with no luck. I only find our own users (and groups). I'm not finding security groups that's been created in the Portal, nor any guest users it seems.. Does that mean anything that is created in the portal / cloud will not be found? Am I misunderstanding something? 😞

Best regards

Hi @Vegard1985

The current AD connector only works with on-prem Windows AD. It doesn't support to connect to Azure AD, so it couldn't lead you to see the groups and guest users that are added to Azure AD through Azure Portal.

There is an idea about adding Azure AD connector to Power BI. You could vote for it: Microsoft Idea  · Azure Active Directory (powerbi.com)

Some users query Azure AD data through Microsoft Graph API. You could refer to these threads and documents:
