Accessing Project Online data from Desktop

Hi,

I'm having a weird problem which I'm hoping someone can help me with.

I can currently access my Project Online information using the content pack in the Power BI web app. However, I can't connect to the OData feed in the desktop app, getting a "We couldn't authenticate with the credentials provided" error.

I've done some digging and it might be something to do with whether I have the permission "Access Project Server Reporting Service", something I've not been able to establish just yet. I would have however thought that because I can access the data feed on the web app, I would have the required permissions.

For added info I am in the Site Collection Administrators so assume I have full access.

Thanks.

@Anonymous ,

Clear permissions in data source settings and try the latest version of Power BI Desktop.

Hi @v-chuncz-msft

Yes tried that and also installed Power BI for the first time on another machine with no success.

Thanks.
