Accessing Business Central API using approved the granular admin relationship

Today one of my clients approved a granular admin relationship so I can now manage their services for them. This is the first time this has happened as previously I had been building dashboards using an account they created for me. As I now start to take on support for clients, they are granting me this privilege.

I can access Business Central this way but my question relates to logging in via Power BI desktop to access Business Central.

How would I go about accessing it this way as I am completely stumped or do they still need to give me a normal microsoft licence with associated organisational email to access Business Central via Power BI desktop?

Hi,

Thanks for replying but when you are granted granular permissions, this is done through the Microsoft Partner portal and a request is sent to authorise your organisation. When you access their data, you don't access it via an acount so there is nothing to login with.

The customer is going to create an account for me on their side.

Hi @JS_UNI4C ,

You mentioned that you have access to a customer's Bussiness Central through an account that is approved for a granular administrator relationship.

Have you tried using this account to log into Bussiness Central in Power BI Desktop?
