mathysbt, I just saw Anonymous's reply in my notification feed to this thread and reread it. I seem to have missed a key element. Yes, the site being SharePoint 2007 probably has everything to do with it. 2007 only supported WCF, not OData, OData was introduced in 2010. I would be highly surprised if you could connect to a SharePoint 2007 list using Power BI. I'd try it, but I don't have an environment to test with. I upgraded them all! :(
