Access Queries - Recreate?

Hi All,

I am fairly new to PowerBI, and I am helping recreate reports that have been living in Excel for 10 years. They currently pull the data from an Access database that has multiple queries to merge tables. I was wondering if I should link PowerBI to those already merged queried tables in Access or should I recreate the merges within PowerBI?

Hi @ccp118 ,

According to your statement, I think your issue should be that you want to know get data from access database or get data from excel and recreate your tables.

As far as I know, the connection mode from Access Database should be import.

For reference: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/power-query/connectors/access-database

It is the same as get data from excel, if getting the data from the access database makes your operation easier, I recommend that you get the data from the access database.

Best Regards,
Rico Zhou
