I am working for a company where I have access to the AS/400 but not as an Administrator so my rights are very limited.

If an ODBC connection needs to be configured; I also may need assisstance.

I need to know how to explain to our current 3rd party how to do any configuration that would allow me to pull data from our as400(I know name and IP address) DB2 database(dont know name) into Power BI desktop via Get Data - IBM Db database.

Hi Mauricio,

Since you have 328 000 records in your data source.  Many factors can impact your load data time. Such your server hardware and your network if you use a server in a network of computer. As per my understanding, 2 minutes and 32 seconds is an accept time of load your 328000 records.

Removing unneeded Rows and Columns is the fastest way to gain some speed on refreshes.  Have you streamlined the data pull by removing unneeded columns, like timestamps and Createdby, and other useless columns?

Thanks for answering ami first question, the actual query only has 3 columns and one filter but still has time to update data (2 minutes 30 seconds)
