API from Cloud application

Hello,

 

New to PBI and i am gievn a link (API) to a cloud based application, trying to connect using web but it will not connect. The API is link to a applicaiton on the cloud which has credentials , which inturn connects to the SQL DB.

 

What is the best way to import data.. the link i am given is https://unity.allscriptscloud.com , is this an API?

Hi @Z1594764 

You can use a Web.Contents query to get data from an API.  There are lots of different types of API's and connections and you'd need to read up on the API documentation to see exactly how you connect to it and how you get data from it.

I tried accessing that link but got a 403 Forbidden error so it might need some sort of authentication to access.
