Post Partisan3 Different questions
Hey there fellow users of Power Bi,
I have a couple of questions regarding Power Bi Connector, Power Bi Apps and Power Bi Embedded.
Let me start with saying we are a smaller company (5-10 employees) working with workflows.
When I read about Power Bi Embedded and how Microsoft is trying to sell this for smaller companies I got really excited. I looked further into it and to my understanding you need to buy capacity at Azure. When I looked at the prices for the capacity on Azure I was shocked, almost 1000 dollars a MONTH alone for the capacity, I do not understand how this can be sold for smaller companies at all or am I missing out on something here?
Power Bi Connectors - How does one create a Power Bi connector, does it have to be accepted by Microsoft in order to get in Power Bi, does it cost anything (besides time to develop?) and is there any resources on creating one?
Power Bi Apps - A bit as the above question, how does one create an app and how are other ppl able to find it, just like the following picture: https://i.imgur.com/lezQypd.png

Yeah, Microsoft originally started out on an "impressions" based licensing scheme for embedded but seems to have recently moved to capacity and my research confirms that the lowest cost is around $750/month for full time capacity.

Third question, there's a process for it but I'm not familiar with it, it seems to have gone through some changes but you can probably Internet search your way to victory.
