2 up matrix
hi we know how to do this in ssrs and report builder. is it possible to do this in the desktop? At https://community.powerbi.com/t5/Desktop/hierarchy-with-a-twist-paginated-vs-desktop-matrix/m-p/3240787#M1088621 you can see what i am thinking about in terms of a matrix visual. In order to fit the pbi page on one printed page, we may wish to create a 2 up matrix visual where a matrix to the right of the first matrix is simply a continuation of the first. We know how to do the math for determining which rows go into which matrix, likely assigning row numbers to each row along with a count of rows column. We can guarantee that matrix 2 starts at the highest level. is this possible in the desktop?
i'm guessing this is doable because today i created 2 similar but unrelated queries and both could be used on different visuals on the same page in pbi.

i have to rethink this one. wish i could unmark the answer as i dont think its correct. if i have the right side of a matrix up for the other half of a "list", but using a different/similar "query" , then i probably have to drag two different filters eventhough they are for samed named columns. that would be user unfriendly. what i think (i'll try it) is instead staying with one "query" but adding a calculation to every row that says which half it should show on, and see if pbi's filters can be smart enough to keep left items on the left hand matrix and right on the right hand side.
