User (Contributor) can not see Dataflows Gen 2 in Create tab.

Hi,

I added a user as a Contributor to Fabric workspace, but he can not see a new Dataflow Gen2.

He can only create old Power BI items.

-> change to Admin did not help

-> has Fabric trial account

-> if I share with him link to my Dataflow gen 2, it works

-> then he can create one and publish it

-> it is visible in workspace dasboard and he can edit it

-> it is only still missing in the Create menu.

Make sure that you select the correct workload from the workload selector:

I'd suggest choosing Data Factory

Thanks.

1. he does not have this icon in his Fabric UI: Mac, various browsers

2. it works for me even in Power BI UI experience.

could it be a license situation? does the user have a license for Fabric? The user should be able to see the workloads

Dataflows Gen2 is a feature specific to Microsoft Fabric (under the Data Factory Workload).

I just tried on a Mac and can see the list of workloads. Any browser should be able to list the workloads.

Yea, its weird.

Licence is Fabric trial.

Browsers: Chrome, Safari.

It appears to be a Free account based on the screenshot which is different from the Trial.

Could you please reach out to the support team by creating a support ticket? they'll be able to dig deeper into why this user might not be getting access to Fabric.
