Reaching out to regarding the a Fabric workspace permission requirement for a Data Warehouse activity.
The activity involves when end user tries create and drop a table on the Data Warehouse level.
Previously we did not assign any permissions on users on the workspace level until recently we have been getting error 'WriteDeniedAccessForUser', but the table gets created and dropped successfully on the DW.
Action Taken
I have tested the same create and drop on SSMS and Azure data studio and I do not get the "WriteDeniedAccessForUser' as to when I use the Fabric Portal which suggests that this is a Fabric Workspace level permission requirement.
Further checks on the browser trace i found that the there is metadata refresh activity gets triggered whenever a create/drop gets executed.
There is no default semantic model enabled on my workspace and no semantic models being refreshed automatically so the workspace level permission should not be needed.
Ask
Will there be any update regarding the new workspace level permission required for Data Warehouse activities using the portal?
or will the product group remove the error in the future for DW level activities that uses the Fabric portal for create and drop tables as the error is annoying.
