Unexpected Duplicates in SQL Query

Could you please try the below SQL query:
WITH CTE AS (
SELECT *,
ROW_NUMBER() OVER (PARTITION BY CAST(DATE_EXEC AS DATE) ORDER BY DATE_EXEC DESC) AS rn
FROM XXXX_CTRL_CARD
WHERE CAST(DATE_EXEC AS DATE) = CAST(GETDATE() AS DATE)
)
DELETE FROM CTE WHERE rn > 1;
