Hi @dineshkumarravi ,

Thank you for reaching out in Microsoft Fabric Community and sharing the details.
The Unidentified section in the Lakehouse is part of the managed area that holds files or folders that are not yet associated with a table. New Lakehouse tables sometimes temporarily appear in this folder while they are still being processed. Once finalized, they should automatically move to the correct location, and the Unidentified folder should disappear.
Since you have already moved the files to the Files directory but still see them in Unidentified, here are a few things to check:

  1. Refresh the Lakehouse View : Sometimes, the UI takes time to update. Please try refreshing the Lakehouse or reopening it to check if the files reflect correctly.
  2. File Format Compatibility : Ensure that the files are in a supported format like Delta, Parquet, or CSV. Unsupported files (e.g. raw JSON, text, images) may remain in the Unidentified section.
  3. Confirm the Move Operation : Double-check if the files were correctly moved to /Files/ and are no longer in /Tables/Unidentified/. If they still appear in the Unidentified area, you can try manually deleting and re-uploading them to the correct directory.

Hope this helps. Please reach out for further assistance.
