Hi , everyone
I created 2 lake house as Bronse Lake house and SlverLake House after all the transformation
also Create ex , Distrbution Gold Warehouse
I need to reference some tablefrom from silver lake house to distgoldwarehouse by using the SHORTCUT inestead of using dataflow Gen2 or datapipeline
Thanks

If you want to create shortcuts from the Warehouse to the Lakehouse you won't be able to as that's currently not supported.
Is there a reason you're using a Warehouse in the gold layer? You could use a lakehouse in the gold layer and create shortcuts to the silver lakehouse from there if that fits your scenario
Hi @Mohammed- ,
You can add a Lakehouse to Warehouse for cross querying. Click on the '+ Warehouse' button and then you can add a SQL Endpoint of Lakehouse to it.
But you cannot add tables directly from Lakehouse into a Semantic Model of Warehouse. For that, you can create new Views in Warehouse on top of the Lakehouse tables and those views can be added to the Semantic model.
That is interesting.
I guess the view cannot be queried in Direct Lake mode, I guess Power BI queries to a SQL view will fall back to DirectQuery.
Still, it is interesting that you can add the Lakehouse table to the Data Warehouse semantic model in this way.

The Reason for use warehouse there is some issues in lakehouse like
date table cant be mark as date table in tyhe model
i cant sort table by column in the column tool
my scenarioto create 2 layer in whatever lakehouse or warehouse , if i used dataflow gen2 or data pipeline to move data from silver to gold i have to make copy of the common tables which will be used in both gold layer
Thanks
Hi @Mohammed-
Thanks for using Microsoft Fabric Community.
Apologies for the inconvenience.
Currently Shortcuts can be created only in Lakehouse but not in Warehouse. You cannot reference data from Lakehouse to Warehouse without using a pipeline or dataflow.
