First issue:
Is it possible to mirror Cosmos DB for MongoDB at this moment in time using Azure Cosmos DB for NoSQL connector? I have tried and getting ODBC error:
An exception occurred: ODBC: ERROR [HY000] [Microsoft][DocumentDB] (1) Error while attempting to use REST API: Server returned nothing (no headers, no data):
If there is a workaround to make this work any feedback would be appreciated. I am keen to run Fabric POC with data from my MongoDB.
Second issue:
I am getting error when trying to enable an exisitng Azure SQL Database for Fabric Mirroring:
"The database cannot be mirrored to Fabric due to below error: User does not have permission to mirror the database."
I have checked all the prequisites and they are correct.
As a test I did a export of the live database and restored the exported data to a new Azure SQL Database with SMI enabled during creation and also made the DB in Azure AD mode only. When attempting a Fabric Mirror connection with new database everything worked. This confirms all the Fabric enivironment configuration is correct so this can be excluded from troubleshooting.
With my exisiting databases they are running in mix mode and I can preview the tables during new mirrored Azure SQL database connection creation. I get the error when I click on the connect button.
This makes me think its some type of backend issue with fabric and exisiting Azure SQL Database. I am using my orginisation account with full admin rights to Azure SQL Server and database to do the initial connection test. I get the same issues when creating external user accounts as well a local SQL accounts with DBowner rights.
Checked completed
Any feedback would be great.
Thanks

I have a Microsoft support ticket logged and senior fabric engineer has confirmed environment setup is correct. They are investigating backend logs at the moment. I will provide an update once solution has been provided.
