Dear Community,
I have been using Copolit for many queries and questions as I am getting ready for the DP-700 exam next month. The AI question informed me that for the exam I would need to understand that materialzed view is used in the Warehouse. I have seen this in the Eventhouse (KQL) but not in course material for the exam.
Does this sound right?
Even though the exam expects you to understand materialized views conceptually, the Warehouse engine in Fabric does not yet expose the syntax.
Many Thanks,
Theo

Hi Theo,
Fabric Warehouses do not currently support the CREATE MATERIALIZED VIEW syntax.
Although Microsoft Fabric expect you to understand materialized views conceptually, the Fabric Warehouse does not yet expose this capability. However, materialized views are available in KQL databases and Lakehouses, not Warehouses.
Hope that helps, Thank you.
Thank you for your reply Aditi,
I thought the same thing as I had practiced in KQL. However, I was asked how to generate a view in the Warehouse.
I will move on from this as AI doesn't always get it right, but has shown many merits and has really helped me.
Many thanks,
Theo
