Issue Connecting Fabric Warehouse to Excel - SSPI Context Error

I'm experiencing an issue linking my Fabric warehouse to Excel. It seems to be specific to Excel, as Azure Data Studio connects without any problems.

Here's the error message I received:

DataSource.Error: Microsoft SQL: The target principal name is incorrect. Cannot generate SSPI context.
Details:
DataSourceKind=SQL
DataSourcePath=datawarehouse.fabric.microsoft.com;SomeName
Message=The target principal name is incorrect. Cannot generate SSPI context.

Has anyone encountered this before, or can offer guidance on troubleshooting this error?

Hi @goldenarm253 how are you trying to connect to the Fabric Warehouse?  E.G Get Data?

Correct, I use Get Data --> SQL Server.  I pasted server name from Fabric.  Then the error pops up.

Clear the data source permissions, then reauthenticate with OAuth2  (Microsoft account). Do not use the Windows option.

you seem to be trying to connect with your Windows credentials.  Try OAuth2 instead.
