Hi,
I am currently working on creating a warehouse in Microsoft Fabric using the REST API and have set the collation for case-insensitivity. However, I've noticed that this case-insensitive setting applies to both data object names (like table and column names) and data values.
I would like to know if there is a way to configure the collation such that it only applies to data object names and maintains case sensitivity for the actual data values stored within those objects.
Is there a specific approach or parameter I should use in the REST API to achieve this restriction?
Thanks!!
Hi @Chandana_V
The Case insensitive collation support (Warehouse only) is a newly released feature. Currently it doesn't support different collation levels like that in SQL Server. Please raise your ideas to let the product team know your feedback about the feature and where it could be improved.

Hi @Chandana_V
At this moment, you can only use one collection across the Warehouse. You can't specify collations on a column or table level.
I have been looking on https://ideas.fabric.microsoft.com/, but I didn't find anything. I would advise you to submit your idea on the https://ideas.fabric.microsoft.com/ website.
Kind regards
