Hi all,
I am trialling out Fabric at the moment in a work capacity and we've had a few glitches I wanted to get some advice on - fully aware it is still in beta/not GA mode !
The biggest issue is around unavailibiilty and performance - Currently hosted in Western Europe.
Current structure is simply a Dev and UAT workspace both with warehouses almost identical to each other given how early we are in development.
At some point on the 25th August, we had no access to the UAT warehouse - in that I mean we could see it, go into it and see all elements but if you queried a table or clicked on a table, it would just spin and spin.
Previous to this, we have been running it without this issue for several weeks.
At some point on the 27th, it all came back up.
Azure and Fabric status to this point still point to everything being green and no issues were ever logged.
As this is the 3rd time we've faced this...has anyone else faced this issue and is there a quick solution?
The other query is when it is up, there are times (more frequent than not) where performance is shocking.
Just this morning with no users on the capacity, I did a select from a table with 1 5 row table - it took 3 minutes.
Another table with 3 rows came back after 2.5 minutes.
But we know last week, the same tables were coming back instantly.
This then ripples onto Power BI performance as its taking so long to query the warehouse.
Thanks in advance!
Thanks Dennes,
I will raise this however we made the decision today to essentially backout of developing any further with Fabric due to reliability and performance.
May look into it again once GA
Hi,
I suggest opening support tickets for these issues, the support team will be able to track the specific occurencies.
