Hey all
I'm familiar with creating shortcuts within Microsoft Fabric. I can create shortcuts in a Lakehouse pointing to another Lakehouse, another Warehouse within the same workspace, or even a Warehouse in a different workspace. However, the option to create shortcuts seems to be missing from Warehouses themselves.
Here's what I'd like to clarify:
Appreciate all kinds of help.

Hi @jashfabric
Thanks for using Fabric Community.
In Microsoft Fabric, you can create shortcuts only in Lakehouses and KQL databases. Currently, the option to create shortcuts directly from a Warehouse is not available.

You can use an alternative as below:
Cross-Workspace Query:
You can create a lakehouse in the same workspace as your current Warehouse. In that lakehouse, create a shortcut pointing to the required databases or tables from the Warehouse in the other workspace. You can then query tables in that lakehouse which are just shortcuts to the Warehouse.

Hope this helps. Please let me know if you have any further questions.
Hi @Anonymous , will this feature be available anytime in the future/is it currently being developed? I am specifically referring to: be able to query SQL Analytics endpoints of Fabric Warehouses across workspaces.

Hi @jashfabric , could you please review your answer - my understanding is that you can not create shortcuts in a Lakehouse that point to tables in a Warehouse.
Thank you @Anonymous
I hope this feature would be available in the future.
Thanks again.
