Create shortcut for SQL server on an azure virtual machine

Hello everyone,

I would like to know if it's possible to create a shortcut to an SQL Server hosted on an Azure virtual machine.

This isn't a managed instance like Azure SQL Database, but rather an SQL Server hosted on an Azure virtual machine. Is it possible to create a shortcut to this database?

What I need is to have real-time data on Fabric that mirrors the data on my SQL Server. Are there other ways to achieve this, such as data mirroring or similar methods?

I need to ensure that the data on Fabric is synchronized with the data on the SQL Server in real time.

    Hi Gabry ,

     

    Based on your needs, do you want to synchronize data from SQL Server hosted on Azure VM to Fabric in real time?

     

    There is no shortcut for SQL Server on Azure VM yet.

     

    Consider using Azure's SQL Data Sync, which can synchronize data bidirectionally between multiple databases on-premises and in the cloud.
