Hello,
I am trying to do a weight/performance analysis on several questions from a survey. This is an example of the data input (there is also another columns saying "Competitor company):
I would like to get a matrix with Weight on one axis and Performance on the other. I did unpivot the questions under Weight and then the questions under Performance and the chosed Weight under the Y-axis, average and Performance under the X-axis, average. I used the Attributes under Details and Competitor company under Legend.
The weight in the scatter chart is ok with different spots in the chart, but all questions is under the same (overall average) on Performance. What am I doing wrong here? Grateful for assistance.
Weight (1-5) | Performance (1-5) | |||||
Company | price | Quick deliveries | Service | Price | Quick deliveries | Service |
One | 4 | 2 | 4 | 1 | 5 | 4 |
Two | 5 | 3 | 4 | 2 | 4 | 4 |
Three | 5 | 3 | 4 | 3 | 3 | 5 |
Four | 4 | 4 | 4 | 2 | 5 | 5 |

Let me know if this works...

In God we trust... all others must bring data.
Hello Scott, thanks you think "out of the box". I really like the secon page. Can you tell me how you set this up? (/Details, legend, x axis, y axis)? Really would appreciate it. Best rgrds Göran
Both pages, please..
I did another setup.
But of the performance questions, unpivoted columns, I only get an average of all the performance quesions, not the individual questions????
Here you go!
Fact Table - one column for each data element
Dimension Table - Company sorted by "Order" column
Scattergraph - with filters
Scattergraph - with Play Axis ("Measure" not shown is in the Play Axis field)
Best,
Scott
Thanks Scott,
but is your data already aggregated in Excel? My data is raw, from a survey. I plan to use this model woth several houndred respondents, who answer on weight (once) and on performance for several different competotive companies. I also need to filter the answers on several different background questions.
Any idea?
Best rgrds

Göran,
I did restructure the data in excel based on a previous sample table you provided to create the scatter graphs I think you were working towards.
The following link is a thread discussing how to manage survey responses for use in Power BI for your reference:
The use of filters in Power BI should allow you to reduce the data to the set you need, or you can manage it through data query, or even from the excel source file to filter down to the final table you need for reporting.
Good luck!
Scott
