This report performs a descriptive and exploratory analysis on survey data conducted from 2000 to 2018 as a research source for high school student assignments.

The data was obtained from an Excel file from the Data Omega website with a size of 391 KB in a total of 12,601 records where each row represents a response from more than 400 native respondents from more than 70 countries with each row having columns for data such as: COUNTRY, GENDER, QUESTIONS, RESPONSES, SURVEY YEAR, VALUE.

Project Solution

To solve the management challenges highlighted above we will proceed to descriptive and exploratory data analysis from the Excel file by importing it into Power BI. Originally the excel file has two sheets that Power BI reads as object table, so we proceeded to segment the .

We performed data cleaning using Power Query by assigning data type to columns, converting date values into the correct format and making the first row of each file the header of the resulting tables.

In order to convey the key indicators for the survey of non-governmental organizations, we have defined a bar chart to show the percentage by professional status of agreement with domestic violence, 3 doughnut charts showing the compliance with domestic violence of extracts of the sample according to residence, marital status and age. The report also includes a histogram showing the total number of surveys carried out over the years in the 70 countries.
