Among many events in 2017, some of the deadliest incidents include terrorism. This model shows Global terrorism based on data available from GTD (https://www.kaggle.com/START-UMD/gtd) and Wikipedia (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_terrorist_incidents_in_2017).
Terrorism is a very sensitive topic, and I don't think datasets I used in this model are reliable, so don't look at these figures as facts, I just used whatever available as open data.
Regarding Model, I used custom visuals, bookmarks, some narrations in the background to tell the story. Among all, I tried to show; Power BI reports are not limited to traditional report dimensions; we can use custom dimensions and create a scrollable report.
Theme - I used red as my core colour and few others which go well with red.
Hope this inspires others with their data storytelling

Amazing!
Would you mind sharing how you created the visual switch between Line Chart and Map?
Hi,
I used bookmarks to switch between Maps and Line Chart.
I first created a background with a placeholder which looks like a button, then I placed a shape with No Fill and no Border( In format changed border width to 0. Then, I updated the shape to use the bookmark.
Hope that helps, let me know if it's not, you can always email me at Prathy@outlook.com
