This report draws on 6 years data on spending, crime and staff for all police forces in England and Wales. It was produced mainly for staff in those forces, but has been made available to everyone interested in police performance.
It has some interesting facilities that were tricky to develop - in particular the ability to choose a force on the front page and have all charts highlight this force across the report. It also highlights the performance of the chosen force's statistical nearest neighbours (known as "Most Similar Group"). These groups are pre-set, but can also be customized (via the Customize page)
It also has some interesting ‘cost of difference’ calculations, designed to help forces identify areas where they are particular outliers (in costs, staff levels or crime levels).
