This is an exploration into using Deneb to plot different types of chart, based on selection of a value in a slicer. The objective is to see if we can data-drive the type of chart based on a column in our data model, rather than setting up using the bookmarks, personalize visuals or fields parameters features. The Location table in the data model has an attribute (column) named Chart Type, which is passed into the visual, and the Vega-Lite specification inside Deneb is geared to use an appropriate value of this field to draw the specified chart (the chart types for each slicer value are shown in the table on the right.
