This interactive visual illustrates the revenue and debt load of every school district in the Capital Region. When a district is selected, an area chart compares the debt load to revenue from 2002 to 2016. An info bar shows the district’s enrollment, debt per student and revenue per student.

When you click on the “Compare districts” button, another page in the visual shows small multiples of every school district in the county for comparison.
When you click on the line in one of the charts on either the small multiples or the area chart, it shows the debt and revenue at that point in time.
The source of the data is the Hechinger Report’s District in Debt.

Hi, I really like the use of small multiples on the compare district tab. Which visual did you use for this?
