With the Power BI updates that came out earlier this month, and feeling inspired from Daniel Marsh-Patrick's box plot SVGs, I wanted to take a stab at dynamically generating SVGs with the new dimension capabilities. We are no longer confined to a square canvas for SVGs in the standard table and matrix visuals. I attempted to re-create the dot plot from chapter 2 of The Big Book of Dashboards. We're still limited to a max width/height of 150px so I had to make some compromises/adjustments (e.g. smaller x-axis range).
The following is composed of all standard PBI visuals (i.e. no custom visuals) and the dot plot SVGs were generated with DAX.
