A modern analytics solution to analyse crime and anti-social behaviour incidents, stop and search and police workforce demographics, providing more targeted policing and greater transparency.
By aligning data from the police and the Office for National Statistics, this solution provides the capability to analyse crime and stop and search incidents across England and Wales down to street level. The addition of police workforce data allows for further insight into the staffing and conduct of regional forces.
Crime
The incidence of crime and anti-social behaviour is an area of interest to not only the police but also the general public. Analysing street-level location information and subsequent police and court outcomes associated with the crime allows for more targeted policing, public awareness and community initiatives, helping reduce localised crime.
Stop and Search
Stop and search is an area of particular interest and has been the subject of much discussion and review. Greater transparency around this practice is seen as being influential in improving community relations and perceptions.
Individual records detailing street-level location, ethnicity, gender and age of the person stopped, together with outcome by police force area provide greater visibility into the actions of the police and how this activity is being conducted across the country.
Police Workforce
The capability to analyse the police workforce provides the much-needed transparency that is vital to ensure our police force is diverse, fair, and being held to account when incidents of misconduct take place.
Examination of police workforce data by gender, rank and ethnicity, alongside the number of misconduct incidents and criminal investigations, provides the police and general public with the ability to better understand the staffing levels, demographic and level of misconduct across the force.

Nice work 🙂
You may consider adding a Search box in the Areas Slicer, like this:
Thank you.
Your suggestion is noted and I don't disagree, it simply hurts me to chuck a 12pt search box on a canvas of 8pt text.
The problem is there appears to be a bug whereby when the slicer setting [General > Orientation > Horizontal] is applied, the setting [Items > Text Size] will adjust the font size for the slicer items but not the slicer search box text. This is inconsistent with the behaviour for the setting [General > Orientation > Vertical] which will adjust the font size for both the slicer items and the search box text (desired behaviour).
If I've missed the obvious on this one or if you've got a workaround please feel free to share - responsive layout and report themes appear to have no impact on this. The issue has been raised with the product team under ICM 277983937.
